Mission Statement
Our mission is to enhance the lives of area residents by giving assistance to individuals in need and to local nonprofit organizations by providing information, referrals, and tangible services.
Description
The PRC operates four major programs that run throughout the year, as well as several seasonal programs.
1. The Food Pantry provides healthy options for meals for anyone who lives, works, has household members who attend church or school in Pawling. The Food Pantry offers canned goods, fresh produce, dairy items, refrigerated and frozen foods, and much more.
2. Residents of Pawling can register to receive rides to access food and medical care.
3. The Pawling Resource Center maintains an active medical loan closet, which loans wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs and hospital beds for anyone in the region. There is no charge and borrowers can keep for as long as they need.
4. The PRC operates a number of seasonal and referral services which include backpacks with school supplies, gently used winter outerwear, Adopt a Family at Christmas, Senior Gift Baskets and special distributions of holiday meals.
