Get Involved. Disaster Action Team (DAT) members directly help people affected by disasters ranging from home fires to tornadoes and floods. Red Cross Disaster Teams provide the essentials immediately after a disaster. Volunteers can also support disasters "behind the scenes" with planning, logistics or volunteer management.
