This course is suitable for non-accounting staff who are interested in financial statements’ preparation. Classes will consist of discussions and learning activities regarding transactions mostly used for general business (non-profit organizations).

Features include:

1. Assumption and accounting keyword to prepare financial statements (going concern, cash bases, accrual basis)

2. Discussions about accounting principles and recording

2.1 Cash and cash equivalents

2.2 Property plant and equipment

2.3 Trade and other receivables/payables

2.4 Prepaid expenses transaction

2.5 Accrued expenses

2.6 Closing period ended process

3. Workshop for accounting recoded and closing period (cash only)

4. Balance sheet and income statement preparation

5. Workshop for balance sheet and income statement

6. Budgeting VS actual financial statement for analysis (if applicable)

Please note that topics in the 2nd section might be added or deducted depending on the on the participants requirements.

Objectives:

1. You can record account transactions generally used by nonprofit organizations (including closing account).

2. You can prepare financial statement as a beginner (balance sheet and income statement) by yourself.
