We are seeking a passionate and driven Fundraiser to join our team and support our organization's fundraising efforts. The Fundraiser will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and coordinating fundraising events and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record of fundraising success, and a genuine commitment to our organization's mission and values.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets and organizational goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other potential funding sources.
- Create compelling fundraising materials, including grant proposals, solicitation letters, and donor communications.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community fundraisers.
- Manage donor databases and track donor interactions, contributions, and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and board members to engage supporters and expand the donor base.
- Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, trends, and best practices in the nonprofit sector.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and other community engagements to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing fundraising activities.

Rural to Action Organization is a dynamic youth-led and community-driven non-profit community-based organization that started as a youth peer mentorship group of teen mothers by Joseph Were and Beryl Adenyo as mentors in 2022. The group was registered by the directorate of social development pursuant to and with accordance to the provisions of the community groups registration Act. No 30 of 2022 by the constitution of Kenya as community-based organization registration No: CBO/HUD/HB/0449/2023. We are dedicated to improving the lives of young minds in rural communities of Homabay. Founded on the principles of compassion, inclusivity, and sustainability, our organization is committed to breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty through targeted interventions.
