You can make a real difference in the lives of adults in custody by volunteering with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Our volunteers lead and assist with delivering a variety of programs in facilities nationwide that prepare adults in custody to succeed upon release.

Whether you're skilled in trades such as plumbing, welding, and construction, or possess educational and business skills like financial literacy and writing, we welcome your expertise. Mental health support volunteers provide self-care skills and education on substance abuse and parenting, while those interested in health and wellness can educate on nutrition, fitness, and healthy living. Religious services volunteers inspire, guide, and mentor adults in custody of all faiths through worship services, spiritual study opportunities, and faith-based programs.

Whatever your skills, hobbies, passions, or faith, we have opportunities for you to change lives, help reduce recidivism and create a lasting, positive impact on your community! Immediately after expressing your interest in this opportunity you will receive an email with additional information and a link to our site where you can apply to current volunteer opportunities and learn more about our programs.
