Here is an opportunity to work as an intern in a fulfilling, professional part-time position, supporting organizations that make a difference in peoples’ lives every day.

Executive Service Corps- Florida is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that uses retired executives as volunteer consultants to help Florida nonprofits build capacity. Services include strategic planning, marketing, public relations, executive search, board development, and process improvement.

Our current client roster includes a diverse group of community organizations across Florida such as Hispanic Unity of Florida, IWMF, Flagler County Cultural Council (FC3), the Armory Art Center, Wayside House, and many more.

Alongside a professional Marketing Consultant, we have developed a Marketing Plan that has two focuses: 1) Client Acquisition and 2) Consultant/Volunteer Acquisition. We are looking for a Marketing Intern that can help support our small staff and volunteers with the execution of this plan.

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Assist the Operations and Support Manager with the execution of a 6-Month Marketing Plan.
  • Assist the CEO & Operations and Support Manager with data entry and marketing research as needed.
  • Function in a non-hierarchical fluid organizational setting.

The time requirement is approximately 10 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible, and the work environment is virtual/remote. If you have internship requirements from your university, please let us know in the interview. We are happy to discuss and see if we can work with your needs.

Reporting Relationships:

The Marketing Intern reports directly to the Operations and Support Manager, as well as the CEO. This individual may also work with board members and ESC-FL consultants as needed.

Primary Function

Under general direction, the Marketing Intern has exposure to social media, operations and/or administrative systems. The Marketing Intern will work closely with the ESC-FL team as assigned. This individual may also attend various administrative and committee meetings as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in execution of the ESC-FL current Marketing Campaign.
  • Assist in managing communications, including: ESC-FL website and social media (Primarily Meta, LinkedIn, & YouTube).
  • Generate and arrange social media content for multiple platforms.
  • Oversee interaction and reply to comments and messages from our audience.
  • Assist in writing client feature blog series, highlighting current ESC-FL nonprofit clients.
  • Assist in conducting video interviews with ESC-FL consultants for a video feature series.
  • Pre and post production of simple video feature series.
  • Communicate with Clients and Consultants in a professional manner to help supplement social media content.
  • Research and help establish a marketing CRM account, such as Hubspot.
  • Suggest content ideas as appropriate.

We are seeking an individual with some experience managing social media and familiarity with the basic platforms listed above. It is a bonus if the candidate has any extended knowledge in the realms of Public Relations, SEO/Website Development or Video Production.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of experience or study in marketing/social media management.
  • High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter
  • Skilled in organizing, documenting, and routinely updating information.
  • Respect for details; ability to execute accurately at a high level without excess supervision.
  • Articulate communication skills - verbal, pictorial and numerical.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, communication, and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally grow.
  • Ability to function in a virtual office environment.
  • Desire to invest your passion and commitment to a vision you feel you can embrace and contribute to the growth of the company and its success.
