The International Association for Democracy (IAD) is an NGO that works to defend and advance democracy around the globe. We link people with their governments and lobby governments to promote, strengthen and safeguard democratic institutions, processes, norms and values at home and abroad. We also work towards raising public awareness about the current state of democracy around the world and what should be done to better defend and promote democracy. IAD is looking for a Website Officer to run and maintain the website.

Objectives of this Role

• Run and maintain IAD’s website
• Transfer the current website from Google Sites to Wordpress
• Add new functionalities to the website when needed, e.g., mailing list sign-up form
• Upload content to IAD’s website
• Work closely with other teams to ensure the website is up-to-date with information about IAD’s activities
• Monitor and manage website analytics

Skills and Qualifications

• Passion for promoting democracy, rule of law and human rights as well as IAD’s mission
• Able to commit 3 hours per week to this role and attend team meetings on a bi-weekly basis in the evening
• Previous experience in setting-up and managing websites

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of website cookies and experience ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
• Proficiency in email marketing platforms and CRM software (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
