The Richmond International Film Festival is looking for volunteers for the 2024 festival season! RIFF has a variety of different volunteer opportunities available. During the festival week we utilize our volunteers in various areas including running the ticketing booth, merch sales, running the check in tables at our VIP events, being ushers/greeters for the patrons, possibly some set up/break down depending on the shift, etc. We also have volunteer opportunities available throughout the year as well for those not able to attend the festival in September. For more info, please email us at the email listed.

*All general volunteers must go through two training sessions prior to festival week to ensure everyone is set up for success come festival week. Two ways to volunteer:

General Week of Volunteers: Week of volunteering at the 2024 festival is fun and takes place in a variety of stations such as greeters, box office, ushers, info table assistants, and more. Training sessions take place in April, Mid-June, and early September prior to festival, or you may access the recorded link to view the training from your home. Volunteering takes place festival week, September 24-29, 2024.

CORE Team Volunteers: Another way to volunteer is through the Core Team, which consists of a small team of creative and logistic volunteers that assist in dedicated areas such as outreach, marketing, social media, publicity, content creation, graphic design, event planning, production, and general administrative areas. This team meets approximately 4 times per month and is trained in their respective areas. They work closely with our main staff and the Founder & Producer of the festival. It is a hands-on experience with an up close look at festival production. The Core Team also helps lead the general volunteer team during festival week.
