We are looking for a volunteer who would commit to caring for the grounds at a one of the below locations for the summer. These locations are homes in residential neighborhoods. Duties would include mowing the grass (weekly likely, depending on the weather patterns), bagging the grass, trimming bushes, etc. There also will be fertilizing needed in the spring and fall. If volunteers have their own mower to bring, that would be awesome. Volunteers will leave the bagged clippings etc at the program and our facilities team will dispose. This could be great for an individual, church group, or family. It would be a huge lift for lean facilities team and make 'home' just a little nicer for young people living there. We do need to ensure that volunteers can come each week to maintain the properties but the schedule is very flexible as far as the day or week and time of day. We anticipate this would take someone 60-90 minutes each week.
Homes are located in the North star, Rogers park and scenic foothills neighborhoods in Anchorage.
