Compassus provides hospice care to people of all ages, including children. Our dedicated team of caregivers provides medical care, nursing care, spiritual/emotional support and assistance with personal care. Our compassionate volunteers also make up a vital part of our team. Volunteers simply provide companionship and caregiver relief for our patients and families. Volunteers do not provide any personal care.
We have a very special 11-year-old patient receiving hospice care, and she would LOVE the company of a volunteer to hang out with. She likes makeup, nails and anything girly. Could you be that person to brighten her spirits with a weekly visit?
All volunteer training is provided free of charge. Compassus, located in Evansville, IN serves 10 counties in Southern Indiana and we are always seeking volunteers to help support our patients and families.
