May is Small Business Month, making it central to the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership's mission to eradicate the systemic barriers that have blocked historically excluded populations from gaining access to wealth and entrepreneurial success.

IFEL offers various volunteer opportunities where volunteers work one-on-one with a small business owner at events facilitated by the IFEL team. We offer mentorship programs and "Hackathon" sessions.

This is a great chance to apply skills you already have in a flexible virtual setting to make a genuine impact in the lives of small business owners during Small Business Month!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help high potential entrepreneurs from underserved communities gain access to the knowledge, networks, and capital necessary to succeed in business.

Description

The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL), founded in 2002, is an independent, not-for-profit organization that supports economic development through entrepreneurship. We are experts in creating and implementing small business programming in support of larger economic development objectives. Our services and programs help ambitious "every day" entrepreneurs gain access to the knowledge, networks, and capital necessary to succeed in business. We believe that our efforts to support small businesses can stimulate an entrepreneurial spirit within the community-at-large and empower residents to realize their collective potential.
