Our overnight shelter host arrives at 9:00pm and stays until 8:00am the next morning. You are able to sleep during the night while also keeping an eye and ear open for any needs that may arise.

9:00pm-8:00am: Makes sure the chores were completed, finish up any unfinished business from 5-9 shift. In the morning, see that families are out on time and double check for hazards in rooms before leaving.

Our mission is to form relationships with families at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, meals, and a spectrum of supportive services as they obtain permanent stability.

Description

Family Promise of Greater Denver provides shelter, meals, rental assistance, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness in the Denver area. We also work with families on employment, long-term housing solutions and other goals to ensure self-sufficiency and a brighter future.

Family Promise of Greater Denver began serving homeless families in 1997 and is part of a national network of 180+ affiliates. Since our founding, we’ve helped more than 1,000 families, including 1,900 children. Today, an average of 70% of families leave with housing and 85% of adults secure employment while they’re in the program!

  • Being a light sleeper will be helpful in this position. It is necessary for you to be aware of your surroundings while still being able to rest. Accept meals from churches and welcoming our guests with a good attitude and a friendly smile.
