Hello and welcome.

My name is Jaemi. I'm the President at Just Jaemi. Just Jaemi is an online nonprofit that I started to help end the stigma against domestic violence. Some of the ways we educate the public about this very important topic is by publishing books, e-books, short films, and documentaries. I am happy to announce we are hiring our Nonprofit board. We’re looking for volunteer Financial Officer who can manage the organization's financial cycle from transactions to financial reporting and even audits.

This job opening is for anyone who wants to volunteer in a remote position + has a strong background in Finance. You may have gaps in your work bio. Perhaps during your time off you would like to volunteer. At Just Jaemi we share values like being self made, creative, and esteemed.

As a Financial Officer we are looking for people proficient in the following criteria:

• Financial management
• Strategic planning
• Financial policies and procedures
• Accounting/finance team leadership
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and financial analysis
• Oversee organizational budgeting and reporting
• Working with the multiple managers in the organization to prepare routine budgets and expenditures

*NOTE: All board members (and volunteers) should give a donation to the organization so that other donors see their commitment to the mission. Anything less can raise concerns from donors. Imagine that a donor asked you 'why do you give?’ and you respond by saying 'I give of my time instead of my money' The donor’s probably thinking 'those closest to this nonprofit don’t see the need to invest, why should I?’ and they would be right. Instead, it would be impactful to be a donor yourself, state the reason you give, and invite them to give too.
