Spring planting season is officially coming to a close and the Stream Team has hundreds of bare-roots plants that require potting.

We are seeking volunteers to assist us in potting these bare-roots here at the Northwest Stream Center (an environmental learning facility and the headquarters of the Adopt A Stream Foundation).

Once potted these native trees and plants will remain in the care of the Adopt A Stream Foundation in our Native Plant Nursery and Salvage Yard until they are able to be planted beside a salmon stream at one of our restoration sites in the fall.

After the event volunteers can enjoy a complimentary walk along the elevated forest and wetland boardwalk and take in the beauty of the NWSC's interpretive nature trail and Trout Stream Exhibit.

Please direct any questions to Lynsey at aasf@streamkeeper.org or by calling 425-316-8592.

The Adopt A Stream Foundation (AASF) carries out its mission by conducting Streamkeeper Academy programs, producing environmental education materials, and providing local communities with stream and wetland restoration technical assistance. This location is also home to the Northwest Stream Center, an environmental learning facility with a nature store, trout stream exhibit and a 1/2 mile long elevated nature trail that winds through and over wetlands, dense forest, and two salmon streams. The Adopt A Stream Foundation always welcomes help from volunteers in several areas, including: fund raising, membership services, administrative duties, staffing for the gate house and nature store, plant yard and grounds maintenance, Streamkeeper Academy teaching assistance, and stream and wetland restoration project assistance.
