Friendly Visitor in Lyme, CT

Become a visitor for an older adult or disabled individual to help them remain connected to the community with the ultimate goal of helping them remain living in their homes as they age. Volunteers visit in many different ways, from spending the day playing bingo or line dancing, to playing cards or bird watching at a local park. Make a new friend and share interests. It is always a unique experience. RSVP needs volunteers who can commit to at least one hour a week with someone in their community. Substitutes are available to accommodate vacations!

Neighbors Helping Neighbors!

Now more than ever community support is so important and impactful! The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) managed by TVCCA offers the support someone needs to remain living at home: either with grocery shopping needs, Meals on Wheels, friendly visiting, library media delivery, phone reassurance, medical rides, or helping host Veteran's Coffeehouses.

If you are 55+ contact us to hear how your help may improve the quality of life of an elderly or disabled person by volunteering around your schedule to help a neighbor in your community.

Volunteers who are 55+ are matched with people who are 65+ (or disabled) and independently homebound, at no cost to the person who needs the service.
