Job Title: Research Assistant, Partnership Development

Department: Partnership Development

Reports To: Partnership Development Manager

Summary:

The Research Assistant for Partnership Development will play a vital role in supporting the AADA's mission to improve the health outcomes of African Americans with diabetes. This position will assist the Partnership Development team in researching, identifying, and cultivating potential partners that align with the AADA's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify potential corporate, foundation, and organizational partners aligned with the AADA's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Compile data and maintain a comprehensive partnership database.
  • Assist with developing proposals and presentations for potential partners.
  • Conduct research on partner landscape, including industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Track partnership progress and maintain communication with potential and existing partners.
  • Assist with the coordination of partnership events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Partnership Development Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Public Health, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in research or a related field.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Passion for the AADA's mission and improving the health outcomes of African Americans with diabetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience with grant writing or proposal development.
  • Knowledge of diabetes and its impact on the African American community.
