Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship manageEWGRIYPment, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country. It is a tough challenge, but we know "No Challenge, No Change." Resilience offers volunteer programs that require at least a 4 month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an unpaid Mechanical Engineering Volunteer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including designing, manufacturing, and analyzing mechanical components. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring mechanical engineers to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

Responsibilities:

- Edit CAD Drawings, sketch, and contact manufacturers.

- Attend regular development meetings

- Conduct structural analyses on CAD Model

- Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for projects.

- Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs

- Make revisions to models as requested

- Keep up to date on modern advancement in material and software technologies

- Analyze data and situations and come up with creative solutions.

- Utilize available databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling

Requirements:

- Able to Create 3D models in CAD software ex: Solidworks, Autodesk softwares

- Experience using CAD Software

- Process of a mechanical or similar engineering degree

- Ability to communicate effectively with artists, designers, and other engineers.

- Able to Work independently.

- Ability to work on a team can attend weekly remote meetings.

- Reliable, punctual.

- Pay attention to details.

- Consistently communicate with team members.

- Process eagerness to learn and an open mind to improve critical skills.

- Receptive to improving problem-solving skills.

- Objective learning.

Please note that this is an opportunity aimed at providing practical experience in the field of mechanical engineering. As a Mechanical Engineering volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and enhance your skills in designing and analyzing mechanical components.
