Volunteers Needed!
Housecall Providers presents - Community Day in the Park
On Saturday July 12th, Housecall Providers will host at least than 25 Portland-area community nonprofits at Sellwood Park, as they compete in a cornhole tournament for the title of "Portland Community Day Champion 2025." The day will feature music and a wide variety of entertainment as well as food carts and a beer garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore "Nonprofit Row" where they can learn about the missions of each organization competing and find out about ways to get involved.
This is a great opportunity for you to not only support Housecall Providers, a local non-profit providing primary care medical services and hospice to people with advanced illness, but also other human-services non-profits from throughout our entire community. All while spending a beautiful, fun-filled day in the park.
Volunteers are needed to staff information booths, supervise various activities, assist with tournament play, keep score, and help with, set-up and take down. If you are available to help any time between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, July 12th, assist with promotion in the weeks prior, or would like more info, please contact Virginia Thompon at vthompson@housecallproviders.org. A background check is required to volunteer.
