Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Camp

Are you passionate about empowering youth and fostering a love for reading? Do you enjoy engaging with the community and making a positive impact? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Black, Young, and Empowered (B.Y.E.) is hosting Summer Camp Reading Literacy Event on June 3rd-4th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and we're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us for a day of fun and learning.

Location: 991 Wylie Rd, Marietta, GA 30067

Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Activity Station Facilitators: Lead interactive literacy activities for groups of 7-10 youth at designated stations.
- Set-Up and Clean-Up Crew:Assist with setting up before the event and cleaning up afterward.

Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be available either on or both days of June 3rd or 4th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Enthusiastic about working with youth and families.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a fun and engaging event.

Goal 1: Financial Independence and Career Advancement
- Financial Empowerment Hub: Equips youth with financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills.
- Youth Job Creation and Training: Provides opportunities above entry-level positions for skill development.

Goal 2: Literacy Enhancement and Diverse Representation
- Reading Literacy Enhancement Program: Closes the reading literacy gap and promotes Black authors in curriculums.

Goal 3: Holistic Mental Health Enhancement
- Holistic Mental Wellness Program: Enhances mental well-being through yoga and meditation.

Goal 4: Performance and Film-making Excellence
- Performing Arts Empowerment Program: Cultivates talent in acting, musical theater, and film-making.
