Want to make a positive difference in someone's life with just your smile or the holding of someone's hand? It's really that easy to brighten the lives of hospice patients! Terminally ill patients may have a limited life expectancy, but they want to feel connected to people and a part of life for as long as possible.
Bespoke Hospice is looking for caring and compassionate people in the Tyler, Longview and Marshall areas to visit patients in their homes and nursing facilities to provide a comforting smile, and a caring presence. Volunteers can engage patients with interesting conversation, playing of card/board games, arts & crafts, reading, etc.
Volunteers participate in an intensive on-line training program that will ensure that he/she feels confident and ready to interact with our patients. Patient assignments are tailored to match volunteer's geographic preferences and schedule.

Improved quality of life begins when we carefully remove curative treatments that make people feel so sick; then we expertly tend to comfort, emotional, family, and spiritual needs. Often, people emerge from the fog that strong medications can cause, and they become more alive, more present, more comfortably able to live now.
