Mentors assist youth ages 5-12 in developing daily life skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem, academic excellence, and building healthy relationships. Through weekly one-on-one mentoring sessions, you will have the opportunity to become a positive role model in a child’s life. Be the change today!
Assist youth in our after school and summer enrichment programs. During the school year, mentors are needed between 230-5pm and most mentoring sessions last an hour.

The Alfond Youth Center hosts a combined YMCA and Boys and Girls Club with programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
The Alfond Youth Center is a safe place to learn and grow - all while having fun. It is the place where great futures are started each and every day.
