Girl Guides of Canada is looking for 3-4 active, enthusiastic, fun adults to be the Spark leaders in Falconridge for 2024/2025!

No experience necessary, all training provided, many resources available to help with program planning.

Successful applicants will complete the screening and onboarding process immediately and then complete self paced training with a local mentor.

Our Sparks usually meet weekly for 1 hour.
Meeting evening and times are based on volunteers availability.

We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities.

As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more for our Sparks (5-6 years)

Volunteers commit to 3 hours per week for the duration of the school year.

In the last 100 years, 7 million Canadian girls and women have been involved in Guiding.

Throughout our history, Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada (GGC) has prepared girls to meet the challenges that they face in their lives head on. Whether it was girls learning to bandage wounds during the First World War or girls today working on their anti-bullying badge, Guiding continually evolves to reflect the needs and interests of contemporary girls and women. Today, Guiding's innovative programming is helping the next generation of Canadian girls become confident, courageous and resourceful leaders.
