HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT VOLUNTEERING? DO YOU HAVE SOME SPARE TIME?

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A REWARDING EXPERIENCE? CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFORMATION!

Did you know there are several ways you can volunteer for Pioneer Valley Hospice?

  • One on One patient visits for companionship and respite for families, or Vigil Support.
  • Administrative Support-assisting with computer inputting, filing, mailings, etc.
  • Complementary Therapies-Do you play an instrument or sing? Do you have a certified trained pet therapy companion? Are you a licensed massage therapist? If you have a little spare time in your schedule, please contact me. It can be a rewarding experience to see what these therapies can do for our patients emotional and physical well-being at the most challenging time of their lives.
  • Bereavement Support

WE HONOR VETERANS PROGRAM-Are you a Veteran of our armed forces? WE NEED YOU!

Volunteers do not provide any physical care assistance, medication, or transportation of patients/families, Volunteers provide a non-hands-on supportive role and is based on your comfort level.
You choose your schedule and where you are willing to go!

Volunteering is a commitment. All volunteers go through a specialized training to ensure you are comfortable and prepared for many situations. Volunteers are an integral part of our Team, and we need you!

Description

Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on management of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver, lifestyle, values and wishes.
