SOME EXCITING AND REWARDING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AWAIT YOU!
We are actively recruiting Volunteers who are personable, friendly and compassionate to provide services in many different areas, such as:
- One on One patient visits
- Administrative Support
- Events
- Bereavement Support
- Complementary Therapies-do you have a professional license or certification and have a little time to spare? Example: Pet Therapy, Music, Hairdresser, massage
Volunteers do not provide any physical care assistance, medication, or transportation of patients/families, Volunteers provide a non-hands-on supportive role and is based on your comfort level.
There is minimal commitment. You choose your schedule and where you are willing to go!
Volunteering is a commitment and orientation is required to help ensure that you have the tools you need to support our patients and families

Description
Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on management of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver, lifestyle, values and wishes.
Utilizing an interdisciplinary group approach of physicians, nurses and social workers, hospice aides, volunteers, spiritual counselors, bereavement counselors and others.
