The Tax Project Institute has a rewarding opportunity for volunteers interested in learning and obtaining experience in a Public Policy Institute promoting Transparency, and Open Government. You will have an opportunity to gain experience in a number of areas with many career options in the fields of Finance, Government, Taxation, Research, Media, and Public Policy. You will have access and mentorship from experienced professionals in Finance, and Technology.

  • Conduct research on tax code, tax policy, and government spending using reliable sources.
  • Develop creative and informative content (articles, videos, social media posts) to educate young adults about taxes and civic engagement in a clear and engaging way.
  • Utilize humor and storytelling to make complex topics relatable and interesting.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure content aligns with overall strategy and brand voice.
  • Participate in interviews with the public (optional, depending on comfort level) to discuss tax and civic engagement topics.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and content planning discussions.
  • Assist with promoting and distributing content across various online channels (website, social media platforms).
