Position Description - Director of Communications

As the Director of Communications for Victory Bridge Foundation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization's communication strategies, both internally and externally. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the Foundation's brand and reputation. This is a leadership role that requires creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to promote the Foundation's mission, programs, and initiatives.
• Create and manage content for the Foundation's website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and impactful marketing campaigns.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other stakeholders to increase the Foundation's visibility.
• Deliver key messages for social media posts weekly
• Help develop key ways to successfully portray our mission's story.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
• Serve as lead writer for organization messages

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
• Experience developing and implementing communication strategies.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with media outlets and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and/or experience working with veterans and first responders is a plus.
