Volunteers are critical to Bottomless Closet’s ability to connect women and work. We strive to provide our volunteers with meaningful opportunities that make a direct impact on our mission. Bottomless Closet customizes skills based projects for individuals as well as corporate groups.

Clothing Consultation and Coaching

  • Work one-on-one with clients

Mission Statement

Bottomless Closet's mission is to be the connection that inspires and guides disadvantaged New York City women to enter the workforce and achieve success.

Description

From our grassroots beginnings, we have grown into an organization that has served nearly 50,000 women in need, amassed nearly 100 dedicated volunteers and 200 referral partners, and has had over 1,500 workshop attendees just last year. As we look to the future, our founding principles of helping and empowering women in need still guide our daily work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • Volunteers are asked to join us for a three-hour shift volunteer shift. Each client appointment takes about 90 minutes each.
  • Must have experience supporting/coaching others. Must be able to style clients (women), help edit resumes, and prepare a client for an interview.
