Mission Statement

To provide a safe, welcoming community for pregnant women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Description

In My Shoes is a non-profit organization in Dallas providing community living within a safe environment. We are focused on assisting women who are pregnant and homeless or at risk of homelessness.

We provide the key foundation towards reaching the ultimate goal - stability and family unity.
In My Shoes is the only community living program in Dallas that provides support specifically towards pregnant, homeless women - while offering life, parenting, and job skills. All women who are struggling with homelessness, faced with the decision of bringing a child into this world, and are in need of a strong support system from peers and professional counselors are welcome.

Together, we rally around support, not pity. In My Shoes offers an ear, heartfelt respect, and dignity. Because being a mom means striving for family empowerment and a greater purpose - love beyond one's self. This program was created by those who have walked a mile in the shoes of the less fortunate or have had close personal relationships with those who have. Our staff simply wants to give to the community while explicitly supporting life and families in need.
