Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer for one week this summer?
Camp No Worries (Tabernacle, NJ) is a volunteer-run one-week overnight camp for children (ages 6-16) diagnosed with cancer or supporting a sibling who has been affected. Camp is provided at no cost to their families, funded entirely through donations. Camp provides them an opportunity to participate in the traditional summer camp experience (swimming, boating, arts & crafts, archery, etc.) and a chance to "just be kids", separate from the focus on their diagnosis.
We’re in need of full-time volunteers to join us in the role of cabin counselors and other support volunteers for this year’s Camp week (June 21 - June 28). No medical experience is required, as our on-site medical team of licensed doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals handle all facets of campers’ medical needs.
Cabin Counselor responsibilities include:
· Direct oversight of 4-6 campers
· Accompany campers in daily activities
· Lead by example and encourage active participation
Support volunteers assist with coordinating various programming activities, meal logistics (i.e., setup, distribution, clean up) and provide additional resources to cabin staffing.
For more information, please visit www.campnoworries.org or contact volunteer@ campnoworries.org.
Requirements:
- 19 years of age or older by June 1
- Criminal background clearance
- Commitment for the full week of camp required.
- Documented evidence of vaccination against the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR); varicella (may be part of the MMRV); tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (DTaP and Tdap); and for medical providers hepatitis B.*
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and bivalent booster recommended (not required for 2025).
- Candidates must also have a positive attitude, willingness to be fun/silly, and ability to provide oversight to youth in your care.
Apply today and join us for the best week of your year, helping to provide children facing cancer with a week of No Worries!

That’s why, at Camp No Worries, strengthening families is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our community to make sure that all pediatric oncology families, regardless of income or background, have the opportunity to safely send their children to traditional summer sleep away camp, leaving worries behind and allowing kids to just be kids. Camp No Worries serves patients, siblings and bereaved siblings.
