In search of a fluent Spanish and English speaker to assist during a therapeutic horsemanship lesson. Volunteer will be in charge of translating the instructors instructions and prompts to the riders. Previous horse experience is not required.

1 Shift

  • 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM
    If wanting to be a sidewalker arrival is 15 minutes before the lesson, horse handler should arrive 45 minutes before the lesson. Lesson is at 10:30

Description

At Riding Unlimited we provide therapeutic riding while at the same time teaching horsemanship to the mentally and physically disabled community. Our clients ages range from 4 years old to senior adults.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 14
  • Orientation or Training
  • Lesson lasts for 1 hour. Depending on role being fulfilled should allow 1.5 hrs or 2 hours for shift
  • Spanish and English speaking and able to translate between the two. Horse experience is a plus to help with terminology but not required.
