Hospice care focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness who is approaching the end of life. At some point, it may not be possible to cure a serious illness, or a patient may choose not to undergo certain treatments. Our focus is to assist our patients to live to their FULLEST until the moment they pass. Let's make new memories for our patients and their families, instead of just focusing on the beloved older memories.
No one does it like Summit Hospice!
Patient/Family Support Volunteers visit patients and families in their home, or long-term care facility. Volunteers provide companionship to both patient and family caregiver. They're a caring, friendly face for chatting, reading, playing games, watching TV, listening to music, sharing stories and helping to create new memories!
