Today, millions of Americans face the devastation of Alzheimer’s, which is robbing us of our families, our futures, and our finances. Our network of Alzheimer's Association volunteers works relentlessly to ensure access to gold-standard care and support members of their community. The Association is seeking volunteers throughout Louisiana to help expand the reach of our programs. Below is a list of our opportunities.

Community Educators (In-person or Virtual) - Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who help the Alzheimer's Association provide consumer education. These volunteers deliver prepared presentations on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Support Groups- (Facilitators or Mentors)- Support Group Facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences to better cope with and manage the shared challenges of dementia. Mentors provide training and guidance for facilitators of early-stage or caregiver groups. Faith Outreach Representatives - Faith Outreach Representatives are liaisons between the Alzheimer's Association and local faith groups or congregations. They share information about Alzheimer’s disease, our free resources, and ways to join our cause at local community and education events.
