About The Role

Work with local nonprofits to connect student volunteers to organizations in need.

Your role as an opportunity coordinator is to democratize opportunity. You’ll operate a few systems to achieve this along with longer-term, higher-level ways to truly deliver an excellent experience for our educators.

Daily Scope

A core part of Othea’s value prop is sourcing opportunities, so educators don’t have to. Your role as an opportunity coordinator is to find a range of opportunities across three categories with the cycle below:

  • Week 1: Pre-College Programs
  • Week 2: Volunteer Opportunities
  • Week 3: Jobs and student leadership positions

You’ll achieve this by:

  1. Sourcing opportunities from existing lists or new ones.
  2. Extracting key details with Othea AI’s "Collector".
  3. Bringing opportunities to life by writing engaging 1-sentence headlines and finding/designing graphics.
  4. Using Othea AI’s Respell, Google Sheets, Airtable, Bardeen, and Search Keywords.
High-Level

On a weekly or bi-weekly basis (every other week, depending on your availability), you will shape Othea’s future and strategic approach by working with our full-time team on the following.

  • Curate a list of 10 opportunities in each category for target school customers.
  • Work with our sales team to share the curated opportunities with service educators at target schools.
