Join Our Team - If you have a background in Marketing and a passion for animals, we have a position for you. The Michigan Pet Alliance is seeking to fill a vacancy on our volunteer board of directors. Our statewide membership nonprofit professional trade association represents Michigan’s animal welfare organizations and pet advocates.

Our working board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and believe that every organization needs a strong and effective board to fully realize its potential for good. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for Michigan Pet Alliance to advance its mission.

Marketing - The MPA Board member with Marketing expertise will work with the CEO and Marketing & Communication Committee to prepare and implement a Marketing Plan for MPA to grow and sustain membership and to promote the services and policies of the organization. Responsibility includes:

• Establish and provide board liaison to a Marketing Committee of volunteer marketing associates.
• Determine and execute short-and long-term marketing goals.
• Monitor and oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials.
• Participate in determining the execution methods of marketing strategies for various projects and advertising platforms.
• Create and manage editorial and content calendars.
• Draft media releases.
• Plan, coordinate and participate in marketing events.
