Job Description:

As a Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in securing funding to support our organization's mission and programs. You will be responsible for identifying potential grant opportunities, drafting compelling grant proposals at the direction of our grants team, and helping our team manage the grant application process. Your primary duties will include:

• Collaborating with program managers and other team members to gather information and data necessary for grant proposals.
• Drafting persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization's mission, goals, and impact.
• Editing and proofreading grant proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with funder guidelines.
• Researching grant opportunities from various foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources to expand our reach.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling grant proposals.
• Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding for non-profit organizations a plus.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Experience working with grant management software or databases is a plus.
• Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to our organization's mission.
