Although most people often think of construction sites when Habitat for Humanity comes to mind, it takes more than swinging a hammer to support our mission!
The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home improvement, donation, and retail outlets that raise funds to help Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes in the Portland metropolitan area. The ReStores are a really fun environment and lots of groups enjoy working on furniture assembly, donation handling and sorting, painting, and other special projects.
There is plenty of camaraderie and satisfaction working in an environment that produces immediate and tangible funds back into our mission!
- What are they? Home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home decor, appliances, building materials, light fixtures, and more to the public at discounted prices
- Locations: Portland (near Mall 205), Gresham (northeast 181st), & Beaverton (off Millikan Way)
- Availability: 10am-2pm; Tuesday through Saturday
- Tasks: painting, landscaping, organizing shelves, pricing donated items, rearranging/putting together furniture, and more
- Group Size: up to 12 volunteers

Description
Habitat for Humanity Portland Region serves Multnomah County, east Washington County, and northern Clackamas County and has the ability to reach out to families one step away from homelessness. Habitat sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. We welcome people from all walks of life to partner with our program to serve families in need with generosity, humility, and love.
