Position Overview:
As a graphic artist volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission by creating visually appealing and engaging designs for various projects. Your work will help us communicate our message effectively to our target audience and raise awareness about our cause.

Responsibilities

· Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout

· Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system

· Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications

· Schedule projects and define budget constraints

· Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

· Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

· Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design

· Amend designs after feedback

· Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Requirements and skills

· Proven graphic designing experience

· Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Desire to continue building skill set with education and training

· Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems

· Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)

· A keen eye for aesthetics and details

· Excellent communication skills

Ability to work methodically and meer deadliness

Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
