Interested in how African traditional healers incorporate music and dance into healing rituals?

What are the points of acupuncture if you have a sore throat? If you have stomach aches? If you're heartbroken!?

--

We are a Bay Area based nonprofit focused on healing the ethnic conflicts in our world through a fun, unique, and creative approach: book creation. Each year, we produce a 75-page book that explores one characteristic from 7-8 countries, such as food, art, and fashion. This year's theme (2024) is ethnic medicine .

Whether you excel in research, editing, writing, graphic design, or leadership, we invite you to join us! At the end of the year, all our books are published on Amazon for the world to see.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to heal the conflicts in our world through cultural sharing, understanding, and helping. We aim at achieving this goal using a fun, artistic, entertaining, and creative approach: book creation. From artwork to inventions, each culture boasts unique elements. Our aim is to spotlight these characteristics by creating a book that showcases different countries' specialties in areas such as food, art, fashion, and more. Members of BTH collaborate to brainstorm, write, draw, edit, and compile diverse elements together into an informative and visually captivating 70-page book. This publication will be made available to the public through Amazon, showcasing our collective dedication to cultural exploration and celebration. At Bridge, we foster understanding, ignite curiosity, and celebrate diversity.

Description

Our club was established in the spring of 2021, amidst the pandemic, driven by our concern over the alarming rise in violence and discrimination against specific groups worldwide. As high schoolers, we realized that we could make an impact through education. Thus, Bridge was born.

Hailing from diverse high schools across the California Bay Area, we are a dynamic team of student volunteers. With a rich array of talents in art, writing, media design, video creation, science, engineering, and beyond, we foster a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates diversity and embraces multiculturalism. Our club takes initiative to promote cultural understanding to build a more harmonic community, or the "bridge to harmony."
