Become a Driver: Transport Refugees to and From Appointments
ORGANIZATION: Lutheran Social Services - Refugee
Please visit the new page to apply.
Drivers are needed to assist with transporting clients to scheduled appointments for things like medical screenings, initial doctor’s appointments, and enrollment appointments. Drivers will need to consent to have a background check and driver’s license investigation completed. Having a cohort of qualified drivers will help alleviate the workload on our case managers.

Mission Statement
Act compassionately. Serve humbly. Lead courageously.
Description
The LSS Refugee Program works to resettle refugees from various nations into the Milwaukee area and other parts of Southeastern Wisconsin. The most important part of our goal is to help refugee families become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community where they live. We work with congregations of all denominations to co-sponsor families, and we are fortunate to have a large network of individual volunteers to assist families in numerous aspects of resettlement, including learning English, learning their new community, and understanding their finances.
