About Lutheran Social Services - Refugee

Location:

3974 S Howell Ave, Ste. 2, Milwaukee, WI 53207, US

Mission Statement

Act compassionately. Serve humbly. Lead courageously.

Description

The LSS Refugee Program works to resettle refugees from various nations into the Milwaukee area and other parts of Southeastern Wisconsin. The most important part of our goal is to help refugee families become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community where they live. We work with congregations of all denominations to co-sponsor families, and we are fortunate to have a large network of individual volunteers to assist families in numerous aspects of resettlement, including learning English, learning their new community, and understanding their finances.
