Job Title: Fundraising Chairperson, Board of Directors

Mission Statement: Compass Rose International is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to uplifting young women, helping them navigate unique challenges such as child trafficking and mental health. We focus on providing tools for resilience, confidence, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies that align with our mission, enhancing our ability to support young women.
  • Network Expansion: Actively expand our network of donors and supporters through various channels, leveraging personal and professional networks.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring their ongoing support and engagement with our mission.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, ensuring they are effective, engaging, and align with our organizational values.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee fundraising efforts to ensure financial goals are met and funds are used effectively in line with our mission.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other board members and staff to integrate fundraising with other organizational activities.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Serve as a passionate advocate and representative of Compass Rose International, effectively communicating our mission and impact to various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fundraising and donor relationship management.
  • Strong network of potential donors and supporters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about supporting young women and addressing issues like child trafficking and mental health.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills.

Description

We help young women in both Nepal and Colorado.

  • In Nepal, our INpowerment Center & Dormitory in Ghyangphedi houses 40 full time residents, age 10-17, and is located in the #1 child trafficking district of the country. We provide them equal access to education, as well as self-development and real-life business skills.
  • In Colorado, our retreats and school programs help teen women find their internal wisdom, and source their power from within.
