Looking to become a hospice volunteer? Volunteers provide companionship, reading, music, pet therapy, playing cards, meditation and a quiet presence to hospice patients who reside at home or in a facility. No experience is needed, training is provided and this is an extremely flexible opportunity based upon your location and schedule. Volunteers provide 1-2 hours a week of their time!

Description
Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary team consisting of a medical director, nurses, therapists, social workers, chaplains and home health aides. Volunteer roles consist of direct patient visits at home, reading, music, pet therapy, reiki, veteran recognition, and other administrative duties. Hospice volunteers find their work emotionally meaningful and gratifying. The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible based on the volunteers' location and schedule; volunteers are valued members of our hospice care team.
