Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services Resource Fair (Spanish Fluency Required)

Description: On Saturday, April 20th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, we will be participating in a tabling event sponsored by Laurel Advocacy & Referral Services (LARS) "Spring Community Food Giveaway & Resources Fair". This event will be an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to the local community and engage with them on an individual basis. We will be tabling at this event as an invitee to share information with the community about our services and support we provide. We are looking to have 4 volunteers to join us, broken up into two shifts, at our table to help speak about our services to individuals stopping by.

Responsible to: Our Volunteer Coordinator, Connor Paul, as well as our Bilingual Case Manager, Gina Fognani

# of Volunteers Requesting: We are looking for at least 4 volunteers to join us, broken up into two shifts and assist at our event. The specific shift requirements and capacity still available is noted in the sign ups below.

Shift description:
Responsibilities:

- Assisting with table setup before the start of the event
- Serving as an Ayuda representative at our LARS event table
- Connecting with passerby's to speak about the services we provide as an organization
- Managing the table including setting out additional materials and keeping a tidy/visually appealing space
- Assist with table breakdown and clean up after completion of the event

Qualifications:

- Volunteers joining will need to be personable, outgoing, and engaging with strong public speaking skills and an ability to connect with individuals from any background.
