Club Everyone, Me and U provides a retro video game club on the 2nd Friday of each month for neurodivergent individuals of all ages. This event has over 100 participants that attend each month.
The entire event runs from 6:30pm-9:30pm. While we can use support throughout the evening, including setup and takedown, if you can only cover a portion of the time we need the following shift support.
We need tech support for setting up video game consoles from 3pm til 6:30pm
We need support running the checkin desk, accepting donations, printing member cards, greeting participants, monitoring section and merch table, and then packing up checkin area. 6:30-10pm
We need support monitoring game rooms, checking out video games to participants and then support packing up the video game consoles at the end of the evening. 6:30-10:30pm
We also need support running the potluck area, making lemonade, setting up paper products, monitoring drinks and potluck area, and cleanup at the end of the evening 6pm-10:30pm

If you would like to volunteer but can't cover an entire shift, still reach out and we can work with you. This is a huge event each month and we really need any support you can provide.

Mission Statement

Club Everyone, Me and U is a nonprofit social group for neurodiverse individuals (recommended ages 16 and up). We provide activities and events "where you can be a friend and make a friend with acceptance, understanding, and kindness". Offering social support and guidance when needed. We want to provide a space to help build friendships, offer support, and help advocate for one another.

Description

Club Everyone, Me and U was founded by the Davis Family in 2020. John and Michelle’s personal experience trying to find social activities for their sons, Matthew and Joshua, was difficult-especially through adolescence and adulthood.
Teens and adults who experience disabilities often struggle finding a social space where they are valued and can build friendships. Activities and events not only provide opportunities for social needs to be met but they also increase mental and emotional well being in participants.
To fill this need in the Portland, OR metropolitan area, the family decided to take on the task of creating the social activities so difficult to find for this age group. Club Everyone, Me and U (Club EMU) was begun.
