Role Title: Assistant Medical Administrator

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Medical Administrator for our animal rescue organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our veterinary medical facilities and supporting the medical team in delivering high-quality care to rescued animals. You will assist in administrative tasks, facilitate communication between medical staff and other departments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of our medical operations. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
      • Assist in managing medical records, including organizing, filing, and updating patient information.
      • Schedule appointments for veterinary consultations, surgeries, vaccinations, and other medical procedures.
      • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries related to veterinary services and medical appointments.
      • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and coordinate orders as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Communicate important medical information and updates to relevant members.
    • Collaborate with volunteers assisting in medical tasks, providing guidance and support as necessary.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medical treatments, procedures, and outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for regulatory agencies, grant applications, and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal shelters, or rescue organizations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of animal health and common medical procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Mission Statement

Kiss my Paws Rescue is a licensed 501(c)3 non profit organization, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of dogs in need. Dealing with the challenges of dog rescue, some of which include overcrowded shelters, lack of public awareness, and overbreeding, requires problem-solvers who are willing to take risks. Kiss My Paws emerged out of a pursuit to take bold risks and to speak louder than words for those who cannot speak for themselves. Our overall goal as animal advocates is to improve legislation and awareness of dog rescue in the Las Vegas valley.

Kiss My Paws wants to spread our message of hope and compassion towards the homeless dogs in our valley. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the life of an animal, and that collective action can greatly impact the community as a whole.
