Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated volunteer Accountant to join our team. This individual will play a key role in supporting our financial operations by working closely with the Treasurer to ensure accurate and effective management of our financial records. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled accountant to contribute to our organization's success while gaining valuable experience and making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Treasurer in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, and transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide support for annual audits and work closely with external auditors as needed.
- Utilize Netsuite for various accounting and financial reporting tasks.

Requirements:

- Must reside within the USA.
- Proficiency in Netsuite is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA certification or experience is a plus but not required.
