The Domestic Violence Fast Track Advocate, under the direction of the Victim Witness Program Manager and the Fast Track Supervisor, will call victims and accurately record their response to questions asked pertaining to the domestic violence incident. The ideal candidate will be able to show empathy and understanding for the feelings expressed by the victim. The Fast Track Victim Advocate will provide information regarding all communication with victims to the Fast Track Supervisor. The Fast Track Advocate will accompany other volunteers and the Fast Track Supervisor to court each afternoon for Video Advisement and Pre-Trial Conference Hearing. Responsibilities include: answering victim questions about the court process, obtaining pertinent information from the victim regarding the domestic violence incident, report on case resolution, conduct victim follow-up, and inform victims of available community resources. The Domestic Violence Advocate cannot advise victims regarding the relationship they are in, or have been in, other than providing resources for the victim to make decisions
