As a member of the committee, you help to identify, review, and recommend a diverse group of potential candidates who are interested in running for the Board. The Nominating Committee also oversees the election of Board officers and makes recommendations for new Nominating Committee members.

Members of the Nominating Committee must be prepared to devote a significant amount of time to reviewing applications, interviewing prospective Board candidates, and checking their references during the late fall-early winter. The average weekly time commitment during this period is approximately 10 hours per week. The Nominating Committee also meets in-person over a weekend in January to select a proposed slate to present to the Board of Directors, as well as during the spring for the AGM.
