We are thrilled to announce the date for the 2024 ART JAM, KID smART's free annual family arts festival with activities, workshops, and performances for all ages. This year's event will take place at The Andre Cailloux Center at 2541 Bayou Road on September 14th from 10am-2pm. We would love to have you involved this year! WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:
- Activity/Workshop/Performance: Volunteers can help host hands-on art activities, workshops, and/or performances
- Event Volunteer: Assist at the event to help operations run smoothly and efficiently.

KID smART's mission is to engage children and educators in dynamic, creative, and relevant learning through the arts.
Description
Artists Campbell Hutchinson and Allison Stewart founded KID smART in 1999 to provide public school students with greater access to arts-rich education. In its 22 year history, KID smART has served more than 32,000 students and 5,000 teachers in schools throughout New Orleans. With the belief that the power of the arts should be available to ALL New Orleans children, KID smART works within public schools to reach underserved children with the most to gain from an arts-rich, social-emotional education.
Today, KID smART provides a holistic and evidence-based suite of arts education programming:
* Daily arts integration at 15 schools through our Creative Schools program
* Year-round professional development for educators
* Curriculum and literacy initiatives
* Community and family engagement events
