The Salvation Army Anaheim Emergency Shelter is hosting a Spring-Cleaning Day to ensure a clean and organized space for our shelter guests. Volunteers will help with deep cleaning the dining hall area and organizing the back garden area by pulling weeds and watering plants.
How Volunteering Helps Shelter Guests:
By volunteering for Spring-Cleaning Day, you are directly contributing to the well-being and comfort of the shelter guests. A clean and organized environment promotes a sense of dignity and respect for those experiencing homelessness. Your efforts will create a more welcoming space where guests can enjoy their meals and spend time in the garden area, providing a brief respite from the challenges of homelessness.
Requirements:
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for cleaning tasks.
Volunteers must be mindful that this is an active 325-bed low barrier shelter and should be courteous to those who reside there.

Description
The Salvation Army has a vibrant expession in Orange County with four churches that offer a place for spiritual growth and ministry opportunities in our community.
Our Hospitality House houses 50 men in a shelter and job search program to enable them to live independant lives. In 2015 we break ground for a 75 bed facility.
We offer transitional housing for families in a 1 year program with case management for jobs, education and practical skills.
Our 5 Family Services Offices have food banks for low-income seniors and families in Orange County as well as emergency rent and utility assistance.
OC614 is our Homeless Ministry where the homeless are engaged one-on-one or in groups to provide needed services and counselling.
We participate in the Orange County Network of Emergency Trafficking Services to aid the victiims of human trafficking.
Our Women's Auxiliary is a "hands on" women's group providing assistance to all Salvation Army programs in Orange County.
The Salvation Army provides excellent preschool and afterschool programs in Tustin and Anaheim.
