The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Education: Professional Shared Services, the Audio Engineer Consultant is responsible for editing and providing feedback on the content on all audio-related projects under Education. He/she will work closely with the project champion/business lead for ensuring quality assurance and control for all audio-related initiatives, including the STW Podcast program. The incumbent takes initiative to identify opportunities, ensure the highest quality of editing software within their means, provide edits and feedback within project time constraints.

What you will be responsible for...

  • Provide a minimum of 10 hours per month dedicated to editing the audio files, internal/external communication, and feedback on the podcast.
  • Ensure that the editing of audio files are delivered to the project champion/business lead within the project schedule.
  • Ensure that the audio quality is up to the standards as outlined in the project charter.
  • Attend regular meetings as necessary.
  • Provide project support as needed.
  • Be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST timezone (GMT -4:00) and respond to emails within 36 hours.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About you

  • Strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Strong ability to self-motivate, multi-task and prioritize effectively. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and online environment.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to elicit information and provide accurate information clearly and concisely.
  • Very comfortable working in a virtual team environment incorporating group problem-solving; shares information and responsibility.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Outgoing, persistent and energetic. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to handle requests and complaints in a professional, non-confrontational manner.
  • Creative problem solving skills, capacity for innovation.
  • Thrive working collaboratively with STW staff.
  • Enjoy taking initiative, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.

Education

  • A minimum of 2-year education experience in audio engineering or 3 years work experience to match.
  • Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience in audio engineering.
  • Comfortable learning and using a variety of technical solutions to complete project deliverables.
  • Strong knowledge of audio engineering software.
  • Experience using Google product applications or GSuite.

Preferred

  • 3 years audio engineering experience.
  • Experience with multimedia softwares.
  • Familiar with research methodologies and technical writing.
